These Terms & Conditions apply to the Rob & Nawa Personal Cruise Research service provided through TrustyTravelTips.com.
By submitting a research request and subsequently making payment for an agreed research assignment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. What This Service Is
Rob & Nawa Personal Cruise Research is an independent research and information service.
You tell us the cruise line or cruise lines, destination, dates and other criteria you are considering. We research those options and organise the information into a personalised Personal Cruise Research Report and comparison spreadsheet.
We provide factual research and comparison information to help you make your own travel decisions.
We do not tell you which cruise you should book.
2. We Are Not a Travel Agent
Rob & Nawa Travels and TrustyTravelTips.com do not act as your travel agent through this service.
We do not:
- book cruises, hotels, flights, tours or other travel services;
- make reservations;
- collect or hold travel deposits;
- accept payments on behalf of cruise lines or other travel providers;
- access your cruise-line or travel-agent accounts;
- make travel purchases on your behalf; or
- make the final travel decision for you.
You remain responsible for all booking decisions and for checking the final price, availability and terms directly with the provider or your chosen travel agent before making a purchase.
3. You Nominate the Cruise Lines
You are responsible for nominating the cruise line or cruise lines you want researched.
Our service is not designed to answer an open-ended question such as “Which cruise line should I choose?”
We may explain factual differences between the cruise lines you nominate, but we do not select a cruise line for you or declare a winner.
4. Research Scope
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, each nominated cruise line includes research of up to three suitable sailings, where suitable sailings are available.
We do not include unsuitable cruises merely to reach three options.
Research may include, where relevant:
- sailing date, ship, duration and itinerary;
- embarkation and disembarkation ports;
- cabin category and published cabin size;
- official cruise-line fares;
- comparable third-party fares where available;
- taxes and fees;
- gratuities;
- drinks and dining inclusions;
- excursion inclusions or credits;
- relevant promotions;
- ship passenger capacity and crew numbers;
- Guest Space Ratio and passenger-to-crew calculations;
- ship age and refurbishment information;
- selected onboard facilities;
- themes from recent member reviews;
- accommodation research where requested; and
- limited pre- or post-cruise activity research where requested.
Your confirmed scope may be narrower depending on your request.
5. Mandatory Requirements
You may identify requirements that are mandatory and others that are simply preferred.
If a nominated cruise line fundamentally cannot meet a mandatory requirement, we may identify that cruise line as ineligible for the requested research.
If the cruise line could potentially qualify but we cannot identify a sailing matching your dates and mandatory criteria, we may record:
“No suitable sailing identified.”
We will not quietly remove a mandatory criterion, substantially change your dates or substitute a different cruise line without your approval.
6. Prices, Promotions and Availability
Cruise fares, hotel prices, promotions, availability and other travel information can change at any time.
Prices included in your report are research snapshots, not guarantees.
Where practical, we record the currency, market and date checked.
You must confirm the current price, availability, inclusions, cancellation conditions and booking terms directly with the provider or your travel agent before booking.
7. Information Sources
We may use information from cruise-line websites, hotel websites, recognised travel retailers, review platforms and other sources that we consider relevant to your research.
We aim to report information accurately, but third-party information may be incomplete, changed, withdrawn or incorrect.
We are not responsible for changes made by cruise lines, hotels, travel retailers or other third parties after the research has been completed.
8. Member Reviews
Where appropriate, we may examine a selection of recent member reviews, including Cruise Critic member reviews, to identify recurring themes.
Review comments are subjective opinions from third parties.
We do not guarantee that your experience will be the same as another traveller’s experience.
9. Application, Scope Confirmation and Payment
Submitting the online research application does not create a paid research order and does not reserve a research slot.
After reviewing your application, we will normally confirm:
- whether we can accept the request;
- the agreed scope;
- the research fee; and
- the proposed research start time.
Once the scope has been confirmed and a research start time is available, we will send you payment instructions through our nominated payment provider.
Payment secures the agreed research slot.
Please do not make payment until you have received our Research Scope Confirmation and payment request.
10. Research Fees
Current standard pricing is:
New customers
- One cruise line — US$49.95
- Two cruise lines — US$79.95
- Each additional cruise line — US$20
Returning customers
Customers who have previously purchased a Rob & Nawa Personal Cruise Research Report receive 20% off the current standard research prices. Returning-customer pricing is calculated from the standard price in effect when the new research request is accepted. Previous purchases do not lock in future prices.
Once a Research Scope Confirmation has been issued for an assignment, the fee stated in that confirmation will be honoured for that assignment.
Each cruise line includes research of up to three suitable sailings where available.
Any different fee or expanded scope will be confirmed with you before payment.
11. Research Start and Delivery
The typical delivery target is within 48 hours of the confirmed research start time.
The 48-hour period does not begin when you submit the application or when you first contact us.
If our research schedule is already fully committed, we will provide the next available proposed start time before requesting payment.
Occasionally additional time may be required because of website outages, unavailable fare information, unusually complex requirements or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. If a material delay occurs, we will contact you.
12. Your Deliverables
Depending on the agreed scope, your research package normally includes:
- a personalised Personal Cruise Research Report; and
- a personalised comparison spreadsheet.
The service is delivered digitally.
13. What Is Not Included
Unless expressly agreed in writing, the service does not include:
- choosing cruise lines for you;
- recommending a winning cruise;
- booking travel;
- collecting deposits;
- full flight research or booking;
- visa or immigration advice;
- travel insurance recommendations;
- a complete pre- or post-cruise land itinerary;
- detailed research into every shore excursion;
- unlimited revisions; or
- ongoing travel-agent support after delivery.
14. Accessibility Research
You may ask us to research practical accessibility requirements such as an accessible cabin, step-free access or a walk-in shower.
We do not provide medical advice and do not require medical diagnoses or medical records.
Accessibility information should always be confirmed directly with the cruise line, hotel or other provider before booking.
15. Sensitive Personal Information
Please do not send us:
- passport numbers or copies;
- government identification documents;
- full payment-card details or CVV numbers;
- bank credentials;
- passwords or account login information;
- one-time security codes;
- detailed medical records; or
- other information that is not reasonably necessary for the research.
16. Washington State Residents
Rob & Nawa Personal Cruise Research is currently unavailable to residents of Washington State, USA, due to local regulatory requirements.
If we discover before research begins that an accepted customer is a Washington State resident, we may decline the research request and refund any research fee already paid.
17. Customer Responsibility
You remain responsible for deciding whether any cruise, hotel, activity or other travel option is suitable for you.
Before booking, you should independently check matters that are important to you, including current prices, cancellation terms, accessibility, passport requirements, visas, health requirements, insurance and provider conditions.
18. No Guarantee of a Particular Outcome
Payment is for our time and personalised research service.
It does not guarantee that:
- three suitable cruises will exist for every nominated cruise line;
- a particular fare will remain available;
- a promotion will continue;
- a particular cabin will remain available; or
- you will ultimately choose to book one of the researched options.
19. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel your research assignment before the confirmed research start time and receive a full refund of the research fee.
Once personalised research has begun, the research fee is normally non-refundable for change of mind, because time has already been committed to work prepared specifically for you. This does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If we cannot deliver within 48 hours of the confirmed research start time, subject to any agreed pause while waiting for essential information from you, we will offer a revised delivery time. You may accept the revised time or request a full refund.
A refund is not provided merely because:
- no suitable sailing is identified within the agreed dates and criteria;
- a nominated cruise line cannot meet a mandatory requirement;
- a fare, promotion, cabin, hotel, tour or other availability changes after the research is completed; or
- you later decide not to book one of the researched options.
If the delivered research contains a factual error made by us, we will correct it without additional charge.
Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
If you wish to cancel before research begins, contact us at research@trustytraveltips.com as soon as possible.
20. Intellectual Property and Personal Use
The Personal Cruise Research Report, comparison spreadsheet and other original material created by Rob & Nawa Travels are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
After full payment, you receive a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the delivered research for your own travel planning, decision-making and record-keeping.
You may share the material privately with members of your travelling party and with your personal travel agent or professional adviser where reasonably necessary for planning your trip.
Unless required by law or expressly permitted by us in writing, you may not:
- reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or sublicense the report or spreadsheet;
- post the report or spreadsheet publicly online or make it generally available to others;
- remove or obscure copyright, licence or attribution notices;
- use the report, spreadsheet, structure, formulas, tables, calculations or methodology as a template for another cruise comparison;
- use our material or methodology to provide cruise-research or travel-research services to other people; or
- represent our original material as your own.
Rob & Nawa Travels does not claim ownership of underlying public facts, prices, schedules, specifications, reviews or other third-party information contained in the research. You remain free to independently use, verify or research publicly available information.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
21. Affiliate Links
TrustyTravelTips.com, our research reports, comparison spreadsheets and related emails may contain affiliate links.
If you make a booking or purchase through an affiliate link, Rob & Nawa Travels may receive a commission from the provider at no additional cost to you.
You are under no obligation to use an affiliate link. You may book directly with the cruise line or through any provider you choose.
Affiliate relationships do not determine which cruise lines, sailings, hotels, tours or other products are researched. Your research follows the customer-nominated scope we have agreed with you.
A provider is not represented as the cheapest, best or recommended provider merely because an affiliate link is included.
22. Privacy
Personal information supplied through the research application is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We use the information to assess your request, communicate with you, complete the agreed research and administer the service.
Marketing communications require separate consent. Purchasing or applying for Personal Cruise Research does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version that applies to your research assignment will normally be the version in effect when you make payment for that assignment.
